Commercial Agreement
If we think that the idea has commercial value we can help you to sell your idea or license it to a manufacturer. To be able to do this we need to exchange a Commercial Agreement after we have reviewed your idea. These are tailored to the individual idea but you can download a summary of our Commercial Agreement by clicking here.

You can Submit a Pack by Email
You can save time and make sure that the non-disclosure details are entered correctly by choosing the Email option for the Inventor or Premier Services and entering your name and address details online. We will then immediately email you a completed pack. We never ask for details of your idea online and there is no payment required until you decide to submit your idea.
The pack that we email to you is in a standard format (rtf) that can be edited by most Word Processing software.
When you are ready just email us the completed pack and we will acknowledge receipt by email. Further details are in the pack. Just click on one of the email buttons for the Inventor or Premier Services.
Our Inventor Services
At TBB we strive to save money for our clients by keeping our charges as low as possible and by providing valuable advice that will also save money.
Confidentiality Agreement
To obtain our help with your inventions or ideas we need to exchange a Confidentiality Agreement sometimes called a Non-Disclosure Agreement or NDA. This keeps your idea secret. Then if after they have done a Patent Search our Patent Attorneys (Patent Lawyers) think that it would be appropriate to patent your idea they can show you how to apply for a Patent. If we think that it would be appropriate if you applied for Registered Design Rights or a Trade mark, we can advise you of that as well. Our Inventor Pack contains the NDA.
How the Service Works
Choose the service that is right for you and then download one of our Inventor Packs. The packs are completely free to download and we do not ask for any details of your idea. The pack contains details of what to do next. It also contains a confidentiality agreement to protect your idea when you send it to us.
When you are ready, enter the details of your idea on the forms provided in the Pack and post them back to us with your payment. We will then start the process of researching your idea and we will send you a printed report of the results. If we need more information to understand your idea we will contact you. If you are using the Post rather than email we recommend the use of Recorded Delivery services.
Which Service is Right for You?
Our Premier Service includes a patent search of all the patent databases that are online and we try and produce the results as quickly as possible within 20 working days*. If you need it faster we can quote you for a faster search. Please see our Premier Business Service.
We provide a printed report including printouts of the most relevant information such as similar patents that we find during our research. If we confirm that the idea is new and protectable then we will consider its market potential and give you our opinion on that as well. If you would like to know the result as soon as possible and have the detailed information then you should choose the Premier Service. If you are a Business Client please have a look at our Premier Service for Business.
Our Inventor Service carries out the same essential research as the Premier Service but we keep the costs down by only producing a summary report of the essential facts. We still do a patent search of all the patent databases that are online and we will advise you whether your idea is really new and patentable.
Depending on the current demand for our services it can take up to 40 working days* to produce the report. If we find similar ideas to yours we will give you a summary report of what we have found. We will also give you our opinion about its market potential. Our Inventor Service represents excellent value for money as a Patent Search alone could cost two or three times as much as our service charge.
